On Comes The Dawn

Dawn breaks
Over the sullen landscape;
A ray of the light
Pierces the somber dark.

For how long has the land suffered?
For an eternity;
Lost in confusion and pain,
Trapped in shadow.

But now light shines forth,
Brightening the barren plains;
The land awakens, in joy,
To face life once again.

This poem is about recovering from a previous relationship, and finding happiness and joy again. Standard stuff. ;)
