First Impressions

Who's this across the way?
A girl, dressed in spangles and such;
Most intriguing, most interesting...

Again I watch the girl,
She returns my gaze!
Shyly I look away,
Then glance back, then stare...

The next day... there she is again!
She is most odd, most odd indeed,
But interesting...
You know, I think I'd like to meet her...

A new seating plan!
With the girl right by my side,
Staring me in the face;
We exchange a few hesitant phrases...

Talking away with her,
The class seems so distant...
You know, I think I like her...

Passing the time, talking in rhyme,
Lost within her eyes...
Lost within her bubbling laughter...
You know, I think I love her...

This refers to Grade 12 English class for me, far more interesting than I had thought it would be. :)
